Ordinary hours of work are the hours that are regularly worked each week by full-time and part-time employees, and this excludes overtime.
For example, if a part-time employee works 24 hours each week from Monday to Friday, then in such circumstances, ordinary hours of work for this employee will be 24 hours per week. If the employee then works 26 hours in a particular week, 2 hours of work in that week will be generally paid at overtime rates.
