What is an Enterprise Agreement?

An Enterprise Agreement is an agreement between an employer and its employees (or a group of its employees) that replaces the relevant Modern Award that would otherwise have applied, and this new agreement establishes the minimum wages and working conditions for those employees that it covers.

Where an Enterprise Agreement covers an employee, that Agreement operates in conjunction with the National Employment Standards, and both of these documents establish the total minimum wages and working conditions for that particular employee.
