What is Industrial Action?
Industrial action is action related to the employment relationship which can be taken by either an employer or an employee (or a group of employees). The action is connected to either a employment dispute or ongoing employment bargaining. The most common forms of industrial action are:
- Strikes or work stoppages
- Bans of performing work
- Delays in the performance of work
- Refusing to attend for work or perform any work
